Dr Keith Gale

Dr Keith Gale is a Dental Board of Australia registered specialist in Periodontics and has a private practice in West Perth, Western Australia.  He has over 30 years experience in Periodontology and 20 years in the field of Dental Implantology.  He has held part-time casual teaching positions at the University of Western Australia School of Dentistry (in recent years limited to post-graduate supervision) and at Curtin University Department of Dental Hygiene and Therapy since 1982.  He has contributed his knowledge and experience to these Universities continuously for 38 years.

Keith trained at the Universities of London and Birmingham completing his residency at King's College and Birmingham Hospitals in Oral Surgery.  Keith subsequently spent 3 years at the Eastman Dental Hospital as a Registrar in the Department of Adult Conservation where he completed his Royal College of Surgeons Fellowship training.

His Master's Degree in Periodontics was completed at the University of Queensland where he concurrently held the position of Lecturer for 6 years.  Keith held the position of visiting Consultant to the Royal Australian Air Force between 1982 and 2000.  During his career he has been at the forefront of periodontal surgical and non-surgical intervention and long term periodontal management.  His past research has encompassed periapical radiolucencies, neutrophil chemotaxis, instrumentation and diabetes.  He has published several papers in international scientific journals and lectured and presented at local, national and international meetings in his speciality.  Keith was recently been offered and accepted membership to the Royal Australian College of Surgeons in the Special Field Stream of Periodontics.
